There is a deamon nslcd in the package libnss-ldapd, which has its own
config file /etc/nss-ldapd.conf with a different syntax (not compatible
to Hardy's /etc/ldap.conf).

Another workaround: set msdfs root = no on affected shares or in the
[global] section of smb.conf. If you don't use DFS at all you can also
disable it completely with host msdfs = no.
This also made UNIX extensions finally work. Note that I had to remount

dnsmasq 2.46-1 (soon in an archive near you) implements a /etc/dnsmasq.d

upload a new version with this patch actually applied.

We should keep java6-runtime-headless as the required virtual since
java5-runtime-headless contains GIJ which isn't sufficiently compatible
to work properly.
However, we should bytecode at Java 5 level to be able to use Java 5
JREs if we want to (through JAVA_HOME in /etc/default/tomcat6).

In Tomcat 5.5 the default database connection pool factory class is
'org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory', included in commons-
dbcp.jar. So, the applications that didn't specify the dbcp factory
class (the great majority, I guess) worked with no problems using tomcat
5.5 without
It looks exactly the same issue. I use smbfs instead cifs but I've
tested it on both.
I also noticed that this problem is only during access to Debian server.
I've got network drive (Icy Box NAS 2000) and I can rewrite files mounted on
the same
way.
Maybe it depends on remote filesystem because
slithy, kunzol above is wrong: nss-ldapd is indeed available in 8.04,
but it is not default and does not supersede libnss-ldap. It is a
completely different package than libnss-ldap (although it fill the same
use-case). I understand this bug concern libnss-ldap, not libnss-
ldap*d*.

This update solved this issue for me, downgrade from 2.4.2-1ubuntu4
-2.2.8-5ubuntu7.2 went without problems.
Note: In /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf, “dbuser” needed to be changed to “user”
for me.

postinst file uses slaptest to try to convert existing configurations to
the newer directory format, however this does not configure the monitor
backend module.
