OK it works !!!
However if I put script-security 2 in the config file in /etc/openvpn
there is an error message like unknown parameter 2 (I don't remember
exactly). I have also given the exact path for the files up.sh and
down.sh.
Thank you so much for your aid

OpenVPN on Ubuntu Intrepid
In this bug report, I used anonymous (guest) access to the share. I
changed the login policy and now I have to specify a username and
password. In contrary to the above bug report, a user is able to mount
the new configuration without problems. It seems the bug is related to
guest access.

I was not at home last week. Sorry for not answering sooner.
Thierry Carrez is right; the bug seemes to be fixed now. I have done
nothing else but installing the usual updates, and public shares now do
work in Hardy as well as in Intrepid.
Thanks, Max

Hi,
This is actually correct behavior. The APACHE_RUN_USER variable is set
in /etc/apache2/envvars. If you use apache2ctl instead of apache2, then
you won't get errors. The same is true of the init script.
Thanks,
Ryan

will be included in next version?
