Hi Chuck,
I tested your PPA's 'ipmitool_1.8.8-3.1ubuntu1~ppa1_amd64.deb' package
on intrepid 8.10 amd64, and found that when I enter SOL mode [1], no
further input is accepted.
The same test with ipmitool 1.8.9-1 (in the repos) works fine. Let me
know for further testing...

ShaunS's workaround no longer works with the newere mysql-server-5.1

Hi Javier,
I have had this issue with not being able to edit existing data in an LDAP
address book on
my LDAP server. What is weird is you can add a new email address, but if you
try to edit it, it does not save
the changes when you click apply and ok.
Since I upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid,

Sorry for this, there was a terrible mix-up when rolling the 8.04.2
server media and some packages were included on the image that had not
yet completed the SRU process.
The SRU for openldap2.3 has now been completed, so you should see slapd
2.4.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.2 available now in hardy-updates.
Does anyone know if this is fixed in the kernel in jaunty? I don't have
access to a NetApp to test against.

It seems that the issue is now fixed in Intrepid, and also backported to
Hardy 8.04.2, which was released a few days ago. However, it is unclear
to me if I need to reinstall from 8.04.2 distribution media, or can I
fix an existing Hardy installation via software updates?

All you guys are reporting a completely different bug. The original
report was specifically about the output under -v, not about the need to
escape filenames inconveniently for scp.
While scp's behaviour is inconvenient, it is rather unlikely to change
since scp's interface is necessarily frozen
For the record, the original bug here is the symptom of the libnss-
files-udeb package being missing in the installer environment for some
reason. This was probably transient.

You should not need to reinstall.
To solve this, you need to:
a) live upgrade all packages (specifically, you need to upgrade grub,
mdadm, and initramfs-tools)
b) install grub to the raid (for instance, if /dev/md0 provides your
/boot directory, you can do grub-install /dev/md0)
Cheers,
For jaunty, this bug should be fixable with a trivial merge from Debian.
