Seems as if there could have been some other apt process, perhaps an
automatic upgrade, going on in the background. That would have blocked
your current apt-get install and produced the exact same error.
What happens if you make another attempt to install postfix?

Hi again,
now i have turned on massive debugging and voilá...i have attached the
logfile. What happens ?
I open the file passwordsafe.PSAFE3 on the client and shutdown the
client. After reboot i open the file again wuith result, that the client
hangs (also local access to the file did'nt work).

I also guessed the same, looked for another apt process. Couldnt find
any though, the problem is solved when I relaunched ubuntu.

The new dovecot-postfix package is Architecture: any and just contains a single
config file. This is probably incorrect. Please either fix this on the next
upload, or
close this bug if it is in fact correct.
