In my sources.list there are only intrepid release entries.
I tried to force the purge of libkrb53 package with:
# dpkg --force-depends --purge libkrb53
# apt-get -f install
but when i tried to install the package krb5-kdc the
vtun has broken encryption support that makes it unsuitable for main
(and for a secure multi-cluster support), see MIR review in bug 412059.
The workaround proposal for karmic is to ship a working but unsupported
multi-cluster mode, by suggesting vtun usage in eucalyptus and leaving

What's the status of this bug now?? A lot of PHP script need the bundled
GD library. Drupal for exemple with image cache... And the quality is
realy poor with the official GD.

there presumably aren't very many modules for the EC2 kernel.
I guess this raises the questions of what modules we are talking about,
and this is an area where I wouldn't know what to cut out. I personally
depend on some which may not be considered part of the core modules
including: fuse, xfs,

sudo cp ~eucalyptus/.ssh/id_rsa.pub ~eucalyptus/.ssh/authorized_keys

On a brand new installation of Eucalyptus 1.6~bzr672-0ubuntu3 on karmic,
after manually copying ~eucalyptus/.ssh/id_rsa.pub to
~eucalyptus/.ssh/authorized_keys and successfully registering the
cluster, registration of the walrus component fail with the following
error:
The in question is already there, and writable only by root, hence why
scp fail:

I see the fix is committed above, but the
size='5G'
hardcoding on line 37 of /usr/share/pyshared/VMBuilder/disk.py is still
present in the current karmic version (python-vm-builder 0.11-0ubuntu2).
Can this patch be merged into the karmic version? Thanks!

sudo chown eucalyptus:eucalyptus /var/lib/eucalyptus/keys/euca.p12
