Adding this to wishlist is pointless.
The bug is not invalid. It is a bug.
It would make sense to get rid of the bug first and putting in a nice
error message instead. Then it would make sense to choose between
supporting openssh-client flags entirely, or not at all.

a non-interactive way of calling --register-*, because currently those
commands are interactive if the host key was never checked before.

Samba-common was just upgraded today in Lucid to 2:3.4.3-1ubuntu2 removing

I'm sure the update of smbclient is probably in the works, but
Samba didn't build yet on amd64. These kinds of transient issues in the
development release do not need to be reported as bugs.

You can test with 5.2.11 by downloading the package from the lucid repository.
It depends on php5-common, so you need to install both of these packages. Here
are urls for downloading from a mirror:
