After thinking some time about this, I'm not convinced anymore that
libvirtd itself should handle this.
If libvirtd is started and finds the stale pid file there. It could
check if the process with the pid contained in that file is running
anymore. But even if libvirtd crashed, in the meantime
I too would like to see a solution to this bug.
I think a good solution might be to extend NetworkManager so that it can
be configured to block until it has brought certain interfaces on-line.

needed to run some binaries during installation, in which case vmbuilder
should handle binfmt-support specially by stopping it after installation
of packages, or it's not really needed and vmbuilder can just avoid it

I think we should disable ureadahead in cloud images, doesn't make much sense
in a system that will rarely be booted twice ?
Opening a ureadahead task, maybe it shouldn't better adapt to the amount of RAM
I can see several benefits to its presence in the output:
1) educational
2) as a starting point for a new PHP compilation ... basically get that line,
modify what you need and you'll be able to recompile PHP

I haven't used this particular package -- but I know from experience that disks
can only have 4 *primary* partitions, of which one can be an *extended*
partition in which you can create as many secondary partitions as you like.
Maybe the same rules apply for virtual disks too?
