If I boot from the ISO CentOS-5.5-i386-bin-DVD.iso from the CentOS
FTP, the instance will hang at the same point as booting the instance
from the virtual disk. It is solved by disabling SMP (using just 1 CPU).
This is my KVM commandline:
kvm -daemonize -enable-kvm -smp 8 -smp 8,cores=4 -m 2048

Hi Claudio,
ccl@ccl-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ testparm -s --parameter-name='disable

No
ccl@ccl-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ echo $?

Please run the testparm command *without* the 2/dev/null redirection. I.e.,
run:
$ testparm -s --parameter-name='disable netbios'
Instead of directing error output to /dev/null, please run the testparm
command like so:
$ testparm -s --parameter-name='disable netbios'
so that we actually see any errors from running the command :)
