We discovered a problem with mythtv compiling against mysql 5.7.
It boils down to mysql expects that if you #include that
you have the mysql installation's include path included at compile time
to get the rest of the headers. This is presumptuous as it worked fine
for 5.5 and 5.6 previously
Hit this too in Xenial. However, the error
"smtputf8_enable is true, but EAI support is not compiled in"
is not really minor. Postfix 3.0 introduced this as one of the important
new features, which the Xenial package (right now) doesn't provide.

Good timing, I am using Linuxmint 17.3 and can report the same thing
happening, so had the same issue with lubuntu a few years ago.

This error was unrelated to libvirt-bin itself, rather the locales
package from glibc in Xenial had an issue with generating locales (and
locale-archive); This was fixed in a new release (on 3/23) and
subsequent cloud builds after 3/22 which have newer glibc locales
package do not experience this
8 years passed for such an issue. :(
May be somebody will fix it at last?
