Tested samba 2:4.1.6+dfsg-1ubuntu2.14.04.5+lp1416906 today.
The force user option is working once more.

There is nasty regression bug in samba 4.1.6
That prevents the use of the force user option.

It has been fixed in 4.1.7.
For now I installed samba from: ppa:linux-schools/backports
In order to get things working again.
I installed rsync_3.1.1-2_amd64.deb from the vivid repo.
It installed without issue on trusty and, fortunately, resolves this
major bug.
