Public bug reported:
made an dist-upgrade and suspend works with kernel 4.2.0-30. I followed
googleabl documentation (which is not up-to date), but could not find
any hints.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: pm-utils 1.4.1-16
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-30.36-generic
I changed the 00sleep_module to unload (only) ic2_hid and now suspend works
and the touchpad comes back after resume.
While testing I got a kernel panic unloading ic2_hid manually once. Maybe its
a problem with the kernel.
Otherwise everything seems to work now

Hi Andres. It's funny, but my amarok is not using its own instance, nor
storing its files elswhere:
sudo ls -alh /var/lib/mysql/
totaal 21M
drwx-- 4 mysql mysql 4.0K 2012-03-12 19:39 .
drwxr-xr-x 76 root root 4.0K 2011-10-21 22:10 ..
drwx-- 2 mysql mysql 4.0K 2012-03-10 19:07
Sorry Andres for forgetting to reply to #3, but no, I have only one
database on that PC, and that's Amarok's DB, in default location. My
home PC sleeps right now apparently; if you still need it, please let me
know, and I'll send you my apparmor profile.

Funny, because I did a clean install too. I cannot give you more info then
what I gave you before, as far as I know.
Presently, apparmor is disabled on mysql. Anything more I can do for you?

Unfortunately, so I'll give it a try and file that bug!

I agree with a7x. This is not fixed at all: Neither in lucid-proposed
(a7x's points 1, 2, and 3) nor in maverick (just point 2, 3 as the new
maverick package does have a 'sleep 1').
For the record, I did try the lucid-proposed package nevertheless.

The problem is also occouring, if the bridged devices are not touched in any
case.
Nothing was happening on the host side - all though the problem occours
somewhat sometimes randomally.
That is a ver, very, very nasty DOS bug - makes lucid complete unusable
as virtual hosting plattform.
This morning I had an freeze also.
The virtualized Hardy was freezed. (Host is Lucid-AMD64 on Xenons)
The virtualized Lucid was running fine. (on same Host)
The virtualized Dapper was running fine also (same Host).

Also here, it is a huge problem, which costs much money. such a nasty bug!
If in virtual servers are the network interfaces freezing - this is not amusing.

Any ideas further ?

The pid file doesn't get removed when irqbalance shuts down (missing
