That iproute2 version does not match kernel version 3.19 prevents users
from using new features in kernel 3.19 such as ipvlan.

DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=15.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=vivid
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu 15.04

I was able to correct the issue by applying the patch at
