yes, I upgraded our existing Bacula-testserver to lucid and then I
updated bacula with the packages from your ppa.
these packed are installed:
ii bacula-common 5.0.1-1ubuntu1
network backup, recovery and verification -
ii bacula-common-mysql
I can confirm this issue.
It seems the same issue as in

If you compile Bacula with LDFLAGS= , the console can connect to the
director
