Got the same problem and this is what i get when i run
DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer dpkg --configure -a
I've tried to run apt-get install -reinstall postfix but with no luck.
r...@srv01:~# DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer dpkg --configure -a
Setting up postfix (2.5.5-1.1) ...
debconf (developer): frontend
EDIT:
sudo dpkg --remove postfix
sudo dpkg --purge postfix
Solved the issue for me..
