If misconfiguration means adding additional ports to the config file,
then you are right. This is another reason for switching to another
distribution. Ubuntu is no distribution for productive environments!!!

Same procedure as every year ... nis isn't working on 14.04 LTS, too! I
agree, I looks like the main target is standalone computers or tablets,
but not for computers in a productive environment.
I will start starting CentOS.
