I'm using execscript to configure GRUB for serial console. In Karmic
this works fine, but in Lucid the script is being run before GRUB is
installed, and thus cannot modify /boot/grub/menu.lst.

I have same problem when I want to build WSO2 WSF/PHP 2.0 from sources
under ubuntu 8.10

I had Apache installed first, then PHP. Might that be a source of
problem? In my setup I tried most of the day before fixing it
manually...
