Indeed Guy, this is likely ssh doing its job and warning you of corrupted packets. I'm going to close the report as Invalid. If you have further info to suggest that this is still a bug and not an environmental problem, then please feel free to change it back to 'New' or open a new bug. **

Hi Guy Thanks for taking the time to report this bug in Ubuntu I've not been able to reproduce your issue (and I do access quite a wide range of servers/types). Please could you run ssh with verbose logging (-) and attach the output to this bug report. I guess its possible its not openssh
