I think this is related to the usb wifi dongle I bought... will test
some more now that I reinstalled precise

corrupted packets.

I've not been able to reproduce your issue (and I do access quite a wide
range of servers/types).
Please could you run ssh with verbose logging (-) and attach the
output to this bug report.
I guess its possible its not openssh
