This is happening because MAAS added the host{} entry for its MAC before the lease expired. The 30 second thing is clearly a hack and doesn't work properly because it's a race condition with MAAS lease scanner. The only real solution is to SRU the ignore-client-ids fix. -- You received this

I'm also seeing this in a virtual maas deployment we are testing; when the KVM instances boot the PXE boot gets one IP address lease and then the OS gets a second lease with a different IP address. Result is that the dhpd leases file contains two ip addresses for each MAC address; order appears
