Public bug reported: The latest openssh client in Intrepid (1:5.1p1-1ubuntu2) fails to connect to certain hosts such as HP ProCurve switches and dd-wrt routers. Attempting to connect to one of these systems (and possible other system types) results in the following error:
$ ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED] xmalloc: zero size $ This is a known bug that has been fixed upstream: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=497026 The fix is in 5.1p1-3 (see the above bug report.) Would it be possible to get this update in for Intrepid? Currently the only workaround is to downgrade to 4.7p1-8ubuntu1 ** Affects: openssh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: openssh (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #497026 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=497026 ** Also affects: openssh (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=497026 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- ssh fails with xmalloc: zero size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
