I can confirm that krb5-config 1.19-0ubuntu0.1, from intrepid-proposed, install just fine even if dnsdomainname returns an error. It was on a configuration where krb5-config 1.19 failed similar to the original bug report. -- kerberos-configs fails to configure if dnsdomainname fails
