just installed the Jaunty RC and got the same error :(
Tried to enable Sharing in Nautilus and got the same error:
net usershare add: cannot convert name Everyone to a SID. The connection was
refused. Maybe smbd is not running.

it was my fault, i missconfigured my smb.conf.. (interfaces must listen to
127.0.0.1 to have this work)
