I can't reproduce this either, running an Ubuntu guest.
I however don't have any Windows guests.
Could someone with a Windows guest please confirm if this bug still
exists in Lucid?

same problem here ++ reproducable following the above. win2k vbox boots
every now an then without corrupting the screen.

Could you try reproducing this with the daily snapshot of qemu available at:
* https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-virt/+archive/virt-daily-upstream
If it reproduces there, we can try to bisect the commit that broke this
between rc1 and rc2.

I'm booting vista, not kde
I'm invoking with:
kvm -no-reboot -m 512 -hda vista-business -net
nic,vlan=0,macaddr=00:22:64:58:00:1f -net tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap0
It happens when I re-size the screen, but sometimes the screen re-sizes
on it's own and it happens anyway..
I would like to say it is
I did a couple of upgrade/downgrade checks to make sure that the problem
was restricted to qemu-kvm_0.11.0~rc2-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb
