Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba
I try to add a printer in the following way: - Open printer configuration - Select 'New printer' from dropdown box - Select 'Windows printer via Samba' - Hit button 'Browse' The server(s) on which the printers reside do show up, but when trying to expand the tree view to show the attached printer(s), nothing shows up. Workaround is to manually give the complete URL, in my case, something like 'MSHOME/LIN01/hp-photosmart'; then the printer connects and is working as expected. This was working OK in Jaunty, so it can be considered as a regression bug. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- While adding printer, samba printers don't show in smb browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
