Public bug reported: Today I upgraded the ssh client and loging in on the ssh-askpass-gnome package no longer works. It seems to reject the password every time. It works using the terminal, remmina and the using the ssh-askpass
My connection options which worked today (and still work using the terminal and ssh-askpass) are: ssh -c arcfour,blowfish-cbc -X -f -o 'Compression=no' -L XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX usern...@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Thanks in advance ~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 ~$ sudo apt-cache policy ssh-askpass-gnome [sudo] password for dougie: ssh-askpass-gnome: Installed: 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu3 Candidate: 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu3 Version table: *** 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu3 0 500 http://ubuntutym.u-toyama.ac.jp lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ~$ sudo apt-cache policy libssh-4 libssh-4: Installed: 0.4.1-0~ppa1 Candidate: 0.4.1-0~ppa1 Version table: *** 0.4.1-0~ppa1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.4.0-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://ubuntutym.u-toyama.ac.jp lucid/main Packages (I have tried both these libraries and still get the same error) ** Affects: openssh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Lucid: Recent update to ssh mean ssh-askpass-gnome fails to recognize the correct password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/535123 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
