Public bug reported: Binary package hint: chkrootkit
Using chkrootkit 0.49-3.1, if I run it with both an exclude and -q I get a spurious new line, which causes cron to complain. I traced this down to an echo statement, that I think belongs inside the if QUIET block. I've attached my patch to that effect. Poking around, I also see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=548582 which took a different approach. In some ways it's cleaner, but when I try that patch it gets some of the logic wrong., and outputs weirdly. So I like mine more. ** Affects: chkrootkit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- spurious echo causes extra mail when running from cron https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to chkrootkit in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
