recall blocking anything manually.
My Windows XP PC certainly sees other computers in the network (but not

When you say I don't see shares, you mean you can't browse to find theml, or
you can't connect to them explicitly using smb://IPADDRESS/SHARE ?

I didn't check by IP. I'm not sure if it worked in Karmic as I didn't
use PPPoE back then. Now I also don't use it (it's in my parents' house
and I'm back to mine today), but here I see all the shares properly.
I meant I cannot browse and I can't connect to them using:
smb://COMPUTER_NAME/
