Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make ubuntu better. There are some troublesome segfaults in your dmesg, and one of those was dpkg-deb segfaulting on one of the packages being upgraded. Hopefully this doesn't mean there is a hardware error, but it might. To try and start with a
