Public bug reported: I changed my socket setting for mysql to /var/lib/mysqld/mysqld.sock, and now automatic updates to mysql do not seem to function. I believe that the socket was set to /usr/bin originally, and I tried to change the location in order to install mysql, but the installation was unsuccessful. Well, I am learning more everyday....
