Public bug reported:

using both apt and aptitude under ubuntu Maverick 10.10 mysql-server-5.1
and mysql-server fail to install.

Below is the error generated by apt

dpkg: error processing mysql-server-5.1 (--configure):

subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 1

dpkg then can't config. mysql-server as this depends on mysql-server-5.1.
This was working under lucid, but the upgrage to maverick is what caused this
package to break, on my machine.

"mysql-server: Installed: 5.1.49-1ubuntu8" is the version of mysql-
server apt is trying to install.
