What can I do to advice people upstream that it would be a need for companies ?
for ubuntu-server basically. Is there a way to package it as as an optional
extention of openssh for exemple ?

I imagine that the upstream developers will be a lot more interested in
whether it's technically a good idea and maintainable, than whether
companies need it - that's the usual pattern.
You could build your own openssh packages with that patch applied,
perhaps in a PPA.
