Matthias, I ran your test program on Natty, and its definitely present
there. I also ran it on Oneiric, with libc6 version 2.13-9ubuntu3 , and
the "expected" result (sending the query to the dns server) happens. So
I believe this has been fixed, though I cannot point to the exact
changelog entry th
