Public bug reported:

I have a ssh server running at the odd port of 445. When I try to
connect to it from 64 bit ubuntu or debian clients, the client has no
communication with the server at all. A 32 bit client succeeds at
communicating. Here are the verbose connection details from my 64 bit
Ubuntu laptop:

jim@jimsworktop:~$ uname -a
Linux jimsworktop 2.6.38-11-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 29 19:02:55 UTC 2011

I received a request timeout from 8 different 64 bit clients, at 7 different
locations, and the 3 32 bit machines I have were all able to communicate with
the SSH server.
