Actually, the udev hook uses bridge_parse_ports on bridge-ports and that
function is supposed to expand the list based on regexp (with all being
equivalent eth.*), so it should actually work.
I'll do some tests hopefully later today.

The linked post shows "bridge_ports all" in use, which I don't believe
is implemented by the bridge-utils udev rule. Stéphane, can you take a
look at this?
