Packaged depending on headers will universally always be wrong, as they
can't divine which kernel you have installed. The correct thing to do
is to have the 'linux-$flavour' package installed matching your kernel

Looking at the dependencies of this package - specifically dkms:
Recommends: fakeroot, menu | sudo, linux-headers-686-pae | linux-
headers-amd64 | linux-headers-generic | linux-headers, linux-image
I think that this is not a direct dependency because you have to ensure
that the correct
