Public bug reported: When trying to run check_ssh on 12.04 against a dual stack DNS record the outcome is the following:
$ check_ssh hostname SSH OK - OpenSSH_5.9p1 Debian-5ubuntu1 (protocol 2.0) $ check_ssh -4 hostname SSH OK - OpenSSH_5.9p1 Debian-5ubuntu1 (protocol 2.0) $ check_ssh -6 hostname Usage: check_ssh [-46] [-t <timeout>] [-r <remote version>] [-p <port>] <host> $ This works ok on 10.04 LTS and obviously got broken somewhere in between 10.04 and 12.04. -- Cheers, Kilian ** Affects: nagios-plugins (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nagios-plugins in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995984 Title: check_ssh incorrectly refusing -6 switch even though Usage announces it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios-plugins/+bug/995984/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
