I think what you're looking for is the preserve case option (default
to yes, which means new files are created with original case preserved).
case sensitive is just use to match existing files (default to auto).

I can understand your frustration and no doubt you'll be pleased to know
Lucid (10.04) should be shipping 5.0.4, which should mean that this is
resolved.
I'm marking this as incomplete, until someone can confirm that they have
successfully reproduced this bug on Lucid, running

servers to come up clean.
For an LTS release, I would expect that having servers boot clean would
be a priority.

1 - QLogic SAN - Fails to come up until I reload qla driver with modprobe

This looks similar to segfault issue I'm having with lycid beta (well,
at least beginning of the trace looked similar). In my case PHP
segfaults right away with mediawiki/gallery2 (no nginx here). I

as of now, allthough fixed in the current development branch, dont you
think it is a bit premature to close the bug. Even as invalid since
fixed is what you actually are
