My work-around for this problem was to remove network-manager, then
configure /etc/networking/interfaces.

Hello.
I found a terrible bug in memory copy routine
(eglibc-2.11.1/sysdeps/i386/i686/multiarch/memcpy-ssse3-rep.S and
memcpy-ssse3.S). Here is the code
movlLEN(%esp), %ecx
movlSRC(%esp), %eax
movlDEST(%esp), %edx

This is going to be a tough one.
We're seeing sporadic client sent HTTP/1.1 request without hostname (see

I think Jiří found the source of the problem, but it is a mod_ssl bug
after all. Reassigning to apache2.

it seems that the inifinte loop is fixed by this patch, but mysql is not
starting at boot after installing the packages from proposed, so boot
time is significantly increased.
jurgen's new bug may be relevant??

[SRU] infinite loop in /etc/init/mysql.conf if mysqld is not running.
Patrick, thank you for reporting this bug so we can make Ubuntu better!
I've looked at the prerm script, and it would appear that this was fixed
in newer versions of the packaging tool debhelper (specifically,
dh_installinit's generated prerm code no longer returns an error if the
stop fails).

Milestone:
Yes you are right. The bug was fixed in main trunk of apache but not in 2.2.x
branch.
memcpy-ssse3 has code for forward and reverse copy. Why?
However, I suggest you add a debug statement to memcpy, to monitor
overlapping calls, whether it's just the isolated case.
