Sorry, I just found out for my self after a reboot :(

I also had to battle with a new ports.conf file which got installed. It

Thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better -- and
thank you very much for the research on the workaround. I have added a

does not sound as much as a libnss-ldap issue as a GDM issue.

So it's probably due to a missing or borked configuration.

I managed to finally complete the upgrade and believe I've found where
the problem was.
Part of the upgrade to Lucid Lynx included upgrading MySQL 5.0 to 5.1.
I was given the choice of keeping the existing my.cnf or using the
default. I wanted to keep my existing configuration.
However, in
I see this, in the daemon log:
Oct 1 20:45:42 linux1 mysqld[28442]: 101001 20:45:42 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld:
unknown option '--skip-bdb'

The logs show that MySQL was being configured at the moment you
cancelled the upgrade -- so this does not seem to be an apparmour issue.
OTOH, I agree that config changes should be more carefully screened. I
am just not sure, right now, on how to do it.

I can't reproduce it because I can't put my system back the way it was
before the upgrade. I suspect that it had something to do with it being
unable to start backuppc because it was already running. Unless somebody
else gets it as well, I would advise not spending any time looking at it.
It works for me too.
Thanks !

By the way, there is a line in /etc/ssh/ssh_config that reads:
# GSSAPIAuthentication no
and another line that reads:
GSSAPIAuthentication yes
Obviously someone added the GSSAPIAuthentication yes when default is
no. Since commenting the line with yes fixed my problem (~10-15 sec

I repeat: Note that no configuration or setup of RabbitMQ has been
edited. If there is a configuration error, it is the fault of Synaptic
Package Manager, or a bad package configuration.
