Surely you guys can make an exception to your policy under the Bugs

Thanks for reporting this bug. It looks like configure.ac wants to set
MAILCMD to either mailx or mail, whicherver it finds.
So this should be fixed by adding bsd-mailx or mailutils to the Build-
Depends.

could you provide a minimal set of commands to reproduce this? I've not
seen this with my normal juju usage - but I don't keep things up for too
long. Ideally a standalone testcase that can be run in a vm or cloud
instance would let me reproduce and track it down.

actually exist? Did it exist before the upgrade?
sshd isn't confined by apparmor by default, otherwise I would guess that
an apparmor profile needed to be updated.

Im a bit confused for several reasons:
1. the bug is reported by udev itself, not nut
2. nut ships a file 52-nut-usbups.rules not 62-nut-usbups.rules
3. udev does not maintain a list of files it should load at startup. Rather it
loads any files which do exist

It actually sounds to me like you have a transient network error. You
should be able to load
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise/Release in a browser and
find the string universe/binary-amd64/Packages there. The fact that you
say it only sometimes fails
