I think this should be fixed in 0.7.5.
It doesn't do it automatically, but if you want pwauth on, you can just specify:
ssh_pwauth: True
and it should enable it correctly.
I think i'd rather do require this to be explicitly done (it can be done

If I remember correctly, the stripping on gc built binaries was only
problematic on armhf - the general upstream advice was 'don't strip - it
breaks stuff' so we disabled it.
That was with 1.1 - things may have moved on with 1.2 of golang

This also affects in in Ubuntu 14.04, I followed the suggestions in
comment #13.
I replace the line start on runlevel [2345] in /etc/init/tftpd-
hpa.conf with start on (filesystem and net-device-up IFACE!=lo) and
now it starts on boot.
I'm not sure why but I didn't have this problem with Ubuntu
