In /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/syslogd, there is already a regular
expression to match these sorts of things:
^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ syslogd [.0-9]{5}#[0-9]+: restart
\(remote reception\)\.$
However, as the original poster points out, this regular expression does
not actually work

Binary package hint: bind9
The idea was to install bind with MySQL database support.
I am using an updated 7.10 installation. of Ubuntu
Here is what I did:
1. apt-get install build-essential
2. apt-get source bind9
3. apt-get build-dep bind9
4. apt-get source mysql
5.cd
I'm happy to consider it closed.
