I've experimented this bug on a new system I sold.. After a few days
working, one of the disks just died for my bad luck. I lost a Lot of

believe when I saw the panic I went to was the result of a bug not fixed

Thanks for your bug report. Your debdiff doesn't work as expected as
/var/run is a tmpfs directory and is recreated every time the system is
booted.
Moreover, according the init script /etc/init.d/slapd, the symlink is
there to maintain backward compatibility with openldap 2.1 client
libraries:
+1 I think. This is somewhat confusing.
Putting agentaddress 127.0.0.1 at the the top of snmpd.conf instead of
in .../defaults/.. would seem reasonable and quite helpful. However I am
not entirely familiar with the way defaults functions.

Hi Mathias,
Thanks for taking care of this.
Yes, /var/run is recreated every time the system is booted, but that's
fine because /etc/init.d/slapd does the work ok:

@Brazeiro: which version of ubuntu are you running ?
On hardy, mysql is protected by an apparmor profile that doesn't allow
mysqld to read files in /home/mysql/mysql/. Check in /var/log/messages
to see if there apparmor messages.
See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingApparmor for more information
