This bug is still at large in Ubuntu 9.10, as observed on the desktop

This may not be reproducible with 'static' configurations where the
automount tables are configured in files, but when they are specified in
nsswitch.conf as 'automount: ldap', this fails to initialise -
Why is this seen as low priotiry, it's causing no end of problems for
some of our servers running out of memory, I have to restart the
effected daemons twice a day, which is a pretty ugly, I have confirmed
the patch I submitted from the krb5...@mit.edu mailing list does work.

Are you still seeing this bug in Karmic
I see:
$ kvm -audio-help | grep ^Name
Name: alsa
Name: pa
Name: oss
Name: sdl
Name: none
Name: wav
Also, to answer your last question, you can in fact force a particular driver
with:
export QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=pa
And then launching kvm.
Can you try

From the kvm(1) manpage, I think the option you want is:
# boot from CD-ROM first, switch back to default order after reboot
-boot once=d
Can you give that a try and see if that gives you the behavior you
expect?
I tested here with a real, working disk image, and a live ISO.
I ran into this same problem in Karmic. Using 'ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa' on
the machine I am trying to connect with fixed the problem.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I've also have had some issues with

Public bug reported:
When starting a LXC container from libvirt, libvirt fails to do so because it's
blocked by the apparmor profile.
Here's the syslog entry I get:

audit(1257433827.463:26): operation=exec pid=1760 parent=1694
This bug affects me, as my SpeedTouch home router seems to switch over
to 249 - Classless Static Routes after Ive been into Windows 7 instead
of using the RFC Classless Static Routes 121.

I am seeing this issue as well. The final messages I see on my vanilla
