@John: Sure. The bug has been nominated for karmic and jaunty, now it's
a matter of identifying the necessary patch, since I didn't find
anything close in samba's bugzilla.

winbind crashes
Any recent activity? It seems 389 didn't make it into Karmic, and the
last builds were from June 2009. I see there's a new upstream release
(1.2.5) and I may have a go at building .debs with the .dsc from the
PPA.

IIRC, I've booted a default UEC image and then looked at top just after boot.
Swap space was used. And there was around 30-40 M of free RAM. Not very
scientific though.

Greetings,
We're having trouble reproducing this problem on our lucid systems
against eucalyptus-cloud-1.6.2~bzr1124-0ubuntu3. We think that the
issue is possibly related to some process startup behavior, but it would
be great to get some more system information or a process by which the
issue
I hit it systematically on the following test:

Just after reboot (so, fresh boot, clearly), the right ports come up... but...
sudo euca_conf --get-credentials mycreds.zip stalls
sudo euca_conf --list-walruses answers You need to be on the CLC...

Actually, this is not part of any of the EC2 specifications.
If there is a need to change the behaviour of Eucalyptus to remedy
this problem I will need more information about what differs between
the two. That is, the provided output indicates there is a
difference, but neither is the actual
