The debian PHP maintainers are refusing the package this for a
religious reason: that they abhor PHP and believe it should not
spread. I don't believe it is suitable to hold up a package for this
reason. I'm not sure we can force their hand, so perhaps it is time to
start packaging PHP separately

As an added note to anyone trying to replicate this, for the application
to actually open on the main workstation computer, that the same VT as
used by the terminal (:1 in my example, but can be :0, or anything) must
be open on the ssh application client pc (main workstation, in this

libvirt uses dnsmasq to provide dhcp services to virtual networks. It
will not listen on 0.0.0.0. If you have a dnsmasq listening on 0.0.0.0,
it's because you've installed the dnsmasq package yourself (libvirt
pulls in dnsmasq-base, not dnsmasq) and let
/etc/named.conf is in attachment, here is /etc/bind/named.conf.options,
which is included:

The mysql error is likely due to a corrupted installation following the crash
then. The easiest way to fix it is probably to completely uninstall mysql
including the datafiles the reinstall it. The zabbix is just a side effect of

After installing eucalyptus with the nc on the front end (its just on my
home workstation for testing), I found instances wouldn't start...
investigating via nc.log led me to the following directories being
missing:
/var/lib/eucalyptus/instances/admin/

The security manager is causing lots of usability issues because it's
difficult to get right, for little additional security (since we run as
an unprivileged user). Upstream tomcat disables it by default. For
