euca_conf uses StrictHostKeyChecking=no to avoid that prompt. If that

I am also observed network freeze.
Used virtio drivers for network and for disk too (for WinXP/Win7 x86 guests),
On every guest shutdown and sometimes on guest start-up network connection (to
host and to guests) is interrupted from 2 seconds up to 10 seconds (sometimes
more, it vary).

Can also be reproduced by ssh -t lucid-test sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat6

Adding -b to start-stop-daemon solves it, but might have side-effects in

Probably network freeze occur because of adding (on guest start-up) created
tun/tap interface to the bridge.
On guest shutdown tun/tap interface are removed from bridge. This add/remove
operation to/from bridge of tap interface causes network freeze in my case. I
have play around by replacing

However, this will of course fail in the same way if /usr is not mounted.

if you restart the libvirt-bin service you can shutdown domains but not start

We are no able to create a new volume based on an existing snapshot.
We tried using bigger volumes than the original volume from where the
snapshot was created and also using the same size, but in both cases, we
get the same error:

This actually turns out to be related to dd's default block size. By
default, dd uses a block size of 512. The effect of this is that qemu
fills the pipe buffer very quickly because dd just is submitting very
small requests (that will require a RMW).
If you set an explict block size with dd
If you're chroot'ing anyway, then you should have privileged access.
You could probably do this entirely in userspace, without even specially
intercepting the syscalls. When you set up the chroot, just get a copy
of how you want cpuinfo to look, and bind mount it on top of the
existing cpuinfo

I think the preferred way to do this is just to create a /proc/cpuinfo
file within the root file system. It's impossible for qemu to know
which file is /proc/cpuinfo because you can technically mount procfs
anywhere.
