Re: [Bug 869411] Re: SRU tracking bug for postfix 2.8.2 - 2.8.5 for natty
OK. It was a lot easier just to keep the packaging the same then, so that's what I've done. The debian dir for the reuploaded SRU is the same as what's in natty-updates/security now except for the changelog entry. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/869411 Title: SRU tracking bug for postfix 2.8.2 - 2.8.5 for natty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/869411/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 862129] Re: samba postrm depends on packages not guaranteed to be configured
I'm thinking along the lines of the attached patch (untested). Some questions: 1) Is this the right approach? 2) Is dpkg-query the right way to get the status of the update-inetd package? 3) What about triggers-awaiting and triggers-pending? What should the behaviour be in these cases? Is it OK to treat update-inetd as not available in these cases? 4) I've tried manually deconfiguring update-inetd and perl-modules (by purging and then unpacking only) before purging samba, but that doesn't trigger the problem. Any way I try the upgrade case, dpkg refuses because update-inetd (intentionally) isn't configured. Is there any way I can reproduce this reliably? ** Attachment added: Untested patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/862129/+attachment/2522728/+files/patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/862129 Title: samba postrm depends on packages not guaranteed to be configured To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/862129/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 520386] Re: libvirt-bin hypervisor does not support virConnectNumOfInterfaces / unable to create domain with virt-manager using network bridge
A first prototype of a debian/ubuntu package of netcf is here (and at http://people.canonical.com/~serge/netcf-0.1.9-package.tar.gz). I converted it to libnl-3.0 because libvirt in ubuntu has been switched to it. Other than that it was quite straightforward. With this package I'm able to use ncftool to list devices. [Bug 870244] [NEW] mail-stack-delivery package install needs to restart dovecot
Public bug reported: When installing mail-stack-delivery, it generates some custom config files for postfix and dovecot (to integrate dovecot in postfix for delivery and auth). After the package is done installing, postfix is restarted to load the new configuration, but dovecot is NOT restarted. Because of this, when trying to do STARTTLS, the connection is interrupted and a message appears in the logs: Oct 7 22:30:11 nns32-postfix postfix/smtpd[9708]: warning: SASL: Connect to private/dovecot-auth failed: No such file or directory Oct 7 22:30:11 nns32-postfix postfix/smtpd[9708]: fatal: no SASL authentication mechanisms Oct 7 22:30:12 nns32-postfix postfix/master[9684]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd pid 9708 exit status 1 Oct 7 22:30:12 nns32-postfix postfix/master[9684]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling This is because SASL authentication through dovecot is enabled but there is no socket (dovecot wasn't restarted). root@nns32-postfix:/etc/dovecot/auth.d# cat /etc/postfix/main.cf | grep auth smtpd_sasl_auth_enable = yes smtpd_sasl_path = private/dovecot-auth root@nns32-postfix:~# ls -la /var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-auth ls: cannot access /var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-auth: No such file or directory After manually restarting dovecot, the socket gets created and everything is ok root@nns32-postfix:~# restart dovecot dovecot start/running, process 9756 root@nns32-postfix:~# ls -la /var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-auth srw-rw 1 postfix postfix 0 2011-10-07 22:32 /var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-auth I guess this will not happen if dovecot is already configured to open that socket BEFORE installing mail-stack-delivery, but new installations will have this bug. [Bug 870405] [NEW] nova-manage providing filename to default_flagfile breaks devstack
Public bug reported: Ubuntu is carrying a patch nova-manage_flagfile_location.patch, for quite some time. (timestamp: Tue 2010-11-23 12:17:09 +0100) I've just noticed that if you try to run out of a source directory with that patch applied and without specifying --flagfile, that you will essentially get no flag file. This is different than the default case, where running like './bin/nova' will use './bin/nova.conf'. Obviously the ./bin/nova.conf path is somewhat silly, but many dev scripts (devstack, nova.sh) expect that that file will be used when invoking nova. As a result, I can't run 'devstack' right now. [Bug 870405] Re: nova-manage providing filename to default_flagfile breaks devstack
I suggest we replace the current 'nova-manage_flagfile_location.patch' with this one. We should also try to get this upstream. The change here is basically to try to use /etc/nova/nova.conf only if it exists and is readable. While that still will break you if you're running nova-manage from a source tree as root on a system with nova installed, i find that scenario unlikely. ** Patch added: suggested patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nova/+bug/870405/+attachment/2525627/+files/nova-manage_flagfile_location.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nova in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870405 Title: nova-manage providing filename to default_flagfile breaks devstack To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nova/+bug/870405/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 870448] [NEW] check_http fails to decode chunked encoding before performing string checks
Public bug reported: One of our HTTP checks (for the Ubuntu Wiki as it happens) was flapping between OK and Critical because the string check was failing despite getting a 200 and similar length content to a successful check. I eventually managed to reproduce this with a manual -v-enabled run and discovered it's happening because the string check_http was looking for happened to cross a chunk boundary in the failure case (but was within a chunk in the successful case.) If check_http is going to use HTTP/1.1, it needs to support chunked encoding properly and decode the stream fully before running string checks. This can be worked around in (most?) cases by using '-I ip -k Host: hostname' in place of '-H hostname' as that forces check_http to drop down to a HTTP/1.0 connection. ** Affects: nagios-plugins Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: nagios-plugins (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: SourceForge.net Tracker #2786808 http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=2786808 ** Also affects: nagios-plugins via http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=2786808 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nagios-plugins in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870448 Title: check_http fails to decode chunked encoding before performing string checks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nagios-plugins/+bug/870448/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
