A new Ubuntu resolvconf package has been prepared by the Debian
maintainers.
I ask you to test this new package before we upload it to the Ubuntu
repos.
Please install the resolvconf package from ppa:jdthood/resolvconf
(https://launchpad.net/~jdthood/+archive/resolvconf) and let me know whether
Security vulnerabilities must not be ignored!

To get this working we should change
parted mkpartfs primary ext2 start end
to
parted mkpart primary ext2 start end
and do something like
dd if=/dev/zero of=temp_part count=1 seek=(end-start-1)
mkfs.ext3 -F temp_part
dd if=temp_part of=disk skip=start count=end-start

Hey Serge, I can reproduce this and I'm using the same versions
mentioned in the bug description.
I added the three lines you suggested to /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-
packages/VMBuilder/plugins/ubuntu/dapper.py and this is what I got:
vmbuilder kvm ubuntu --suite=oneiric --flavour=virtual
