[Bug 830154] Re: Login timed out after 60 seconds after winbind install
Recently I've tried to check winbind behavior at Ubuntu 12.04. Everything was OK!!! Also I've found how to fix the problem with login time out at ubuntu 10.04. For this you should comment the next line in /etc/pam.d/common-auth auth optionalpam_smbpass.so migrate After system reboot login works fine without any time out. ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830154 Title: Login timed out after 60 seconds after winbind install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/830154/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug in Ubuntu. It would appear that you have incorrectly specified the myorigin configuration parameter in /etc/postfix/main.cf. [Bug 991702] Re: package nagios3-common 3.2.3-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug in Ubuntu. It looks like your Nagios configuration files where missing prior to the upgrade (see log entries in #2 and #3). As a result the upgrade could not complete successfully for these packages. Please either restore you original configuration files or restore the default configuration: apt-get download nagios3-common sudo dpkg --force-confmiss -i nagions3-common*.deb You should then be able to complete your upgrade by running: sudo apt-get -f install Thanks ** Changed in: nagios3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: nagios3 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nagios3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991702 Title: package nagios3-common 3.2.3-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios3/+bug/991702/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 423252] Re: NSS using LDAP+SSL breaks setuid applications like su, sudo, apache2 suexec, and atd
You can replace pam_check_host_attr yes with pam_authz_search ((objectClass=posixAccount)(uid=$username)(|(host=$hostname)(host=$fqdn)(host=\\*))) See the nslcd.conf manual page for more details (the 0.7 series doesn't have the fqdn value yet). Btw, you can use libpam-ldap fine together with libnss-ldapd if you prefer. Also note that nslcd is no replacement for nscd. nslcd doesn't do much caching and nscd (or unscd) can still be used to reduce the load on your LDAP server. The only real things that are missing in nss-pam-ldapd are nested groups and LDAP password policies.
