Public bug reported:
While testing juju, I noticed that its lxc implementation depends on
libvirt-bin just to have virbr0 initialized.
That seems to be a big dependency for something as trivial as creating a bridge
and starting dnsmasq, even more so when lxc itself does that by default.

I've identified the problem. The lack of a default idmap range (idmap
config * : range = X - Y) is causing the error. I am not sure if
this can be classified as a bug since a range was specified for the
domain itself and samba generates a default idmap config * : backend =
tdb if it's not
This happend on Ubuntu Server x64 12.04 after i upgraded from 11.10 last
week. No FTP user could log in any more.
/var/log/auth.log showed:

directory
No, unfortunately, I do not think it is that.
If I start with my machine OFF, I switch it on and boot, then I already
have the issue.
The machine connects to the wifi, but when I open the browser I cannot
reach the authentication screen because the name of the authentication

Thanks Diego
I've got start on runlevel [2345] in the /etc/init/tftpd-hpa.conf file
(thanks, I didn't know about that).
As far a I can tell my interface is up long before tftpd starts:
dmesg | egrep 'eth0|tftpd'
[1.669351] e1000e :00:19.0: eth0: (PCI Express:2.5GT/s:Width x1)
The problem is with NetworkManager. If the system boots with ifup and DHCP
ypbind starts fine.
That is uncomment the iface etho line in /etc/network/interfaces and make sure
the following entry is in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf so that
NetworkManager does not control the interface:

After upgrading Xubuntu 11.10 to 12.04, I had the same problem of #27,
solved creating the empty /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.sbin.mysqld .

Thanks for submitting this bug. I agree with your analysis.
The reason for the separate cgroup-lite package is that simply disabling
the broken libcgroup tools by default, but still installing them, would
(a) be harder to get into main (and not justifiable in my opinion) and
(b) still look like
My agreement was with point 1. I don't agree with point 2, as that is a
diversion from the libcgroup upstream and debian package. They do not
simply want all cgroups mounted separately by default. Rather, they
want it to be very configurable. So I wouldn't object strongly to
adding the extra

Hi Lamont,
Could you please specify what is it that it didn't work after changing
the MAAS IP address? I'm assuming that was PXE booting?
